Vertige is the result of a perfect team work between the boatyard, the owner and our firm which designed interiors in cooperation with Margherita Casprini. Vertige owner was looking for a yacht he could use with his family, for business meetings and for charters without breaking the 500 GT ceiling for ease of management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We focused on some key issues to answer the brief which was for a a contemporary exterior design with outdoor entertaining spaces to be as large and as comfortable as possible, as this is where guests spend most of their time on board, with an interior that preserves its purpose of offering shelter without losing its connection to the sea. No previous Tankoa yachts feature this plumb bow shape which let guess what the future of Tankoa yachts might be and which allowed to store the tender forward and to increase volume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lateral fold-out balconies after off the salon on the main deck add extra square meters of floor space to the outdoor living which becomes a huge area with a large sofa and sun pads. The two fold-out balconies let this area look like like a raised beach-club with an open up view to the water even further while the two fold-out balconies forward are exclusively for owner\u2019s suite private use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The huge upper deck also provides large social spaces with a dining table for 14 and a sofa shadowed by movable awnings. The bow is another unique spot on board,<\/strong> a huge seating area with removable awnings, comfortable sun pads and two tables. The sun deck can accomodate all of a yacht\u2019s guests in the same place without forcing them into the same spaces. Forward there is a large pool and sun pads, amidship is a long bar counter \u2013 with fridge and icemaker, and also a retractable 42\u2019\u2019 flat screen TV – serving a salon area protected by the hard top while aft there is a sunbathing area. Finally the transom folds out to create a wide swim platform, enhancing the beach club area where a gym with steam shower facilities are incorporated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The interior layout with the master and the VIP on the main deck, four guest cabins on the lower, was the owner\u2019s decision. He would be using the yacht for business meetings and couldn\u2019t imagine entertaining important business contacts providing accommodation on two different decks. We met his brief of offering the same kind of hospitality providing the same comfort and the same d\u00e9cor using the same materials but in different colours. Moreover, the yacht is also destined to charter and requests for such a layout is currently not so unusual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The owner wished a modern and warm interior and also wanted to feel he is on board a boat. The balance between natural and bleached teak and polished rosewood, the use of brass insert details provides both warmth and a marine motif within a contemporary design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The interior design is a mix of several details which provide continuity in the design modus operandi<\/em>: the research for unique materials for the decor, the combination of different colours and materials used in the ceilings which enhance a particular area \u2013 wood with a metallic 3D treatment on the surface in the ceiling above the sofas in the living or silk above the bed in the owner\u2019s suite. The central part of bar counters, outdoor tables, night tables and top basins, all surrounded by a metal frame, features the same glass finishing although in different colours, brass is used for the decoration motifs of the owner desk and night tables, electric sockets in the bathroom are hidden into the furniture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The guest cabins all feature the same interior but in different colours with unique touches in each, like the carpets or the fabric for the bedhead which were selected different although similar. The forward bulkhead in the dining area, a feature wall, is clad in Jerusalem stone with custom brass inserts which give a simple yet impressive effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Custom-made furniture combines with some iconic pieces of furniture, onyx was selected for the bathroom shower in the master and the VIP. The yacht is organized so that crew uses the port staircases and corridors and the owner and guests use the starboard ones. The layout on the lower deck for the galley and the crew mess and the use of teak \u2013 the same as used on the other decks \u2013 were chosen to make the crew area as much comfortable and bright as possible. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":607,"parent":0,"template":"","tipologia":[10,9,8],"class_list":["post-1580","imbarcazioni","type-imbarcazioni","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tipologia-awd","tipologia-esterni","tipologia-interni"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
