Severin\u2019s design, the first Baglietto 55-m, was focused on representing the contemporary generation of displacement yachts while retaining some of the traditional style elements – the side air vents at the stern – that have made the brand famous and instantly recognisable throughout the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Being familiar with the Baglietto story means we have been able to start from a privileged position in this research initiative and the synergy we established with the yard was a great support for us in creating the new yacht and turning the owner\u2019s wishes into reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As always team work \u2013 among boatyard, owners and our studio – was a crucial element. Retelling a story from an illustrious past and integrating with a new stylistic elements was the most challenging and sometimes intriguing part of this project which, like all our work, aimed at creating a yacht that would inspire emotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We focused on several fundamental points \u2013 the shapes, superstructure, surfaces and the exterior spaces with special emphasis on the sun deck, on the stern and on the idea of contact with the sea we obtained by lowering the gunwales on the main deck and by creating several alfresco areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The high points of the exterior spaces are the sun deck, a 150 sq. metre terrace with dining and sunbed areas, a swimming pool and bar, and a 55 sq. metre beach-club with steam shower, bar, a relaxing area and a gym being the tender and toys stored in the foredeck. The central section of the superstructure is rounded, sloping fore and after, resulting almost invisible from the sun deck. Combined with the transparency along the outer perimeter there is no interruption to the view in all directions and it enhances visual contact with the sea and the surrounding environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Severin\u2019s owners had precise ideas how their yacht interior should look like. The owner brief for a welcoming and elegant interior was achieved by putting an emphasis on predominant light neutral hues, designing some unique furniture pieces, matching the same materials in different ways while keeping the same atmosphere everywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Polished and matt oak was used for the floor and combines with brushed larch selected for the walls. Travertino and Coffee Brown Marble – the latter used only in the owner\u2019s bathroom – enhance the welcoming vibe in the bathroom, Invisible Gray Gold Marble with inserts in mirrored bronze and fum\u00e9e glass decorates the custom-made bar counters on the main and upper deck and the floor of the dining, while Golden Spider Marble was selected for the lobby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Careful attention was given to all materials to be used for all the details on board such as the soft leather used for the handrail and the lateral sides of the indoor staircase steps or for customizing the door handles, the bronzed metal finish used for the walls surrounding the bedside tables, the custom-made wooden metal-look wall surrounding the dining area, the lacquered and wallpapers all around just to mention some of them. Lighting system underwent a deep study and includes Led stripes and backlight solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Made-in-Italy brand names like Minotti were selected for sofas, armchairs, chairs, poufs and coffee tables, Cassina for the bar stools, while all custom-made furniture were designed by our studio. All bathroom fittings and accessories are by Dornbracht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As to the layout, two wide Vips are located on the lower deck for guests, while accommodation for the owner and his family is provided on the main deck with the owner\u2019s suite – with walk-in wardrobe and private office \u2013 and two guest cabins. The upper deck features a multi-purpose room which can function as guest cabin, playroom or massage area. Additional features include a dining area on the main deck close to a cosy living, a cinema area on the upper deck, two indoor bar areas, one on the main and the other on the upper deck, while a panoramic lift allows guests through the yacht’s three decks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":422,"parent":0,"template":"","tipologia":[10,9,8],"class_list":["post-1567","imbarcazioni","type-imbarcazioni","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tipologia-awd","tipologia-esterni","tipologia-interni"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
