When we were asked to design the MV series the yard brief was very clear: a sporty and well-accessorized boat, with superyacht quality finish throughout which could add special distinguishing feature to their production. Ridoc, the first MV 19 we designed for Baglietto is an evolution of the smaller and very first model of the range and like her predecessor shereinterprets key features of the original MAS in a modern style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We were fascinated to create a boat which draw inspiration from the Baglietto tradition of military vessels and which could in the meantime combine many of the architectural elements of an open with the sleek, high-speed Baglietto lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ridoc strong character should be evident at the first glance. The metallic dark grey colour of the hull and the red cushions on deck answered the brief owner. A red stripe along the hull and the roof shape enhance the sporty exterior. The symmetrical air intakes straking the boat freeboard and the flush-fitting all-teak deck were also meant to underline the overall impact. We also wanted something different for the stern. The straight transom at the stern, a rarity in these days of extended swim platforms, looks military. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The exterior layout meets the need of pleasure boats: aside from a steering position with a 24\u201d screen we created lots of comfortable seating, forward and after sun pads and a comfortable dinette with a bar located forward of the helm station where owner and guests can enjoy cruising en-plein-air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We balanced the clean-cut severity and the sporty lines of the exterior with a sober interior. The owner made clear requests for the interior layout. As the boat shouldn\u2019t be just a day luxury motorboat he wanted two guest cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms, and a larger cabin\u2019s cabin than that usually designed on this kind and size of boats, with a separate exterior access. A spacious open-plan dinette with a corian top, comfortable sofas and a well-equipped galley were included. The owner\u2019s suite is in the bow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the decor we focused on refined finishes and ultra-high tech accessories. Just a few materials and a reduced colour palette were selected to enhance the rigorous style. The decor combines a retro ambience and comfortable surroundings and brings together past and future for a look consistent with the sporty exterior . Canaletto walnut trim alternates with glossy white lacquered walls and dark-stained oak floors. Suede in the same colour palette was selected for the door wardrobes and the bedheads. The choice of different details for owner\u2019s and guest bathrooms is much closer to a superyacht than to any 19-m boat. Guest ensuite bathrooms feature smoked-glass basins while the owner\u2019s bathroom a white ceramic basin by Villeroy & Boch. Bathroom accessories are from the Italian brand Zucchetti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The interior\u2019s electronics, including satellite television, with the audio-visual and satellite systems of larger yachts, also reflect the MAS philosophy of combining efficiency with the leading-edge. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":649,"parent":0,"template":"","tipologia":[9,8],"class_list":["post-1564","imbarcazioni","type-imbarcazioni","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tipologia-esterni","tipologia-interni"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
