The brief we received was for a fast, sporty yet elegant contemporary yacht which could combine performance with comfort and liveability similar to a refined home to meet the owner requirements for full customisation. It looked like a pretty thrilling adventure but we could take advantage of our knowledge in aluminium construction we had collected during the long-standing cooperation with Baglietto and with our experience in larger custom superyacht. The synergy established over the years with the yard was a great support for us in creating the new yacht and turning the owner\u2019s wishes into reality. A perfect team work \u2013 among boatyard, owner and our studio – was a crucial element.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We focused on several key features: sporty essenceof the yacht, close contact to the sea, bright and airy interiors, spacious volumes, large outdoor and social spaces, balance between the renowned distinctive design elements of Baglietto tradition with modern modern exterior styling, bespoke design solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Panam features a sleek and elegant yet aggressive exterior lines which recall impressive performance and a powerful stern which keep on Baglietto tradition. The compact profile and the vertical bow with its peculiar shape, different from provide the design with a modern and dynamic look. The peculiar shape of the vertical bow \u2013 it features some kind of \u201ca step\u201d in its lower area – enhances the sporty and aggressive lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Large dark trapezoidal windows \u2013 full height in the living and dining areas on the main deck – add modern exterior styling the yacht and allow plenty of natural light into the interior while recalling the speed feeling the construction characteristics of the yard ensure. Two stunning sky-lights provide light to the owner\u2019s bathroom and to the master lobby, while two side large windows forward allow plenty of light into the full-beam master.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another important key feature of the design is the contact to the sea, we obtained by also creating large transparent surfaces for the portion of the gunwales on the level with the living and the dining on the main deck and for the transparent protection along the outer perimeter of the fly and around the pool to eliminate boundaries between exterior and interior, to have the feeling of being outside while sitting inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other highlights include alfresco spaces, with a remarkable 65 sq. m flybridge with a large custom-made pool with counter current swimming system, a custom-made bar counter with a sliding top and surrounded by stools, a further sunbathing area forward, a further sunbathing and a living area after. Due to the considerable 8.4 m width of the yacht, the beach club opened on three sides with two side folding balconies provides another huge social outdoor area close to the water according to the owner wish of enjoying the surrounding environment while living on board. A semi-float-in tender garage located forward the beach club \u2013 and aft the engine room \u2013 houses a 17\u2019 tender and is accessed from starboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
