It was a big challenge to design an interior under spec. On the other hand, we had the privilege to work with Heesen again and were confident their support was crucial during the whole process. Our design proposals were never refused whether related to new materials or custom elements. They perfectly translated every detail of our drawings into reality. Team work played a fundamental role in designing a yacht which might meet owner\u2019s wishes of different cultures and having different needs, yet still customizable according to special requirements, as it actually happened. The beds in one of the twin cabins were provided with removable barriers for the kids safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We created a cosy and welcoming environment, an understated elegance, where the owner could feel at home. This was achieved by putting an emphasis on shape, by maintaining design uniformity on board, by introducing multi-purpose elements delivering decor and functionality, and with a clever use of custom-made elements and selected natural materials to create a substle and stylish neutral colour scheme yet bringing to a unique look and feel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The interior landscape gives centre stage to the round shapes featured in the skylounge. This is carried through to the custom-made sofas and the small tables which feature the same concentric form found on the ceiling on the main deck, as well as the marble counter at the skylounge entrance, and the round-shaped walls with their leather rotating foils designed both for dividing living and dining without definitely separating spaces and for hiding the TV screen by sliding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Natural teak was selected as the only timber on board, and is used for the walls, the insertions in the skylounge ceiling, the furniture, the ribs above the side windows and the basin furniture in the bathrooms. In keeping with the natural teak, beige Limestone Silk was the only marble chosen on board, and has been used in the bathrooms and for the furniture tops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Complementing the material selection, natural leather stands out onboard and was used for the ceilings, for the rotating foils on the main deck, for the wall surrounding the stairway in the lobby on the lower deck. Glass was chosen for the large dining table and the counter in the skylounge, while steel is used for some details, both decorative and functional elements, as the profiles of the leather-covered walls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The dining table, the leather walls, the bedheadboards, the bedside tables, the coffe-tables and sofas on the upper deck are all custom-made elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finally, as light consists of more than a transparent element, it\u2019s instead so imposing as a concrete wall, the lighting design integrate with the project and highlight the accurate combination of natural with artificial light coming from the spots in the ceiling, table and wall lamps.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":1621,"parent":0,"template":"","tipologia":[8],"class_list":["post-1544","imbarcazioni","type-imbarcazioni","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tipologia-interni"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
