At the World Superyacht Awards 2009, the prestigious competition organized by Boat International Magazine, \u201cFX<\/em>\u201d \u2013 model SD 122 –  a motoryachtfully designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design \u2013 <\/strong>exterior  stylist and interior designer – <\/strong>and  built  by Sanlorenzo received the prize for the \u201cBest semidisplacement or planing motor yacht in the 30 m t 39 m range\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prize to \u201cFX<\/em>\u201d is also an important acknowledgement to Francesco Paszkowski Design<\/strong> activity, joining to many others awards the design studio received during almost a twenty-year activity which made him one of the leading yacht designers on the international scene.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now in its fifth year, the World Superyacht Awards celebrates excellence in the design and building of superyachts, recognising the dedication and passion of owners and the talents of the builders, naval architects and designers who delivered the most outstanding yachts of 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winners were announced during the glamorous evening, which took place at Guildhall, in the heart of the City of London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEvery year while opening the Judges\u2019 Meeting<\/em> – commented Roger Lean-Vercoe, Chairman of World Superyacht Awards –  I hear myself saying by way of introduction that we have some difficult choices to make. This year was no exception \u2013 it does get tougher every year as the standards of superyacht design and build are raised a level, and this inevitably means that the finalists in each class are more difficult to separate\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

However the judges were almost unanimous in their selection of the Sanlorenzo 37.4 metre design, \u201cFX\u201d<\/em> as the winner of this class. The factors that influenced this choice included her distinctive looks, an attractive interior with practical arrangement for guests, crew and equipment, the ability to combine long range with a moderate top speed, solidity, and high standards of construction. No other boat in the class received such consistently high marks across the scoreboard and this fact was translated into a notable win for \u201cFX\u201d<\/em> – a great all rounder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTogether with my staff I\u2019m always very satisfied with every new yacht built upon our design<\/em> – said Francesco Paszkowski. \u201cI\u2019m very happy we got such an important acknowledgement also this year, as this is of course of greater value  than our personal satisfaction\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe successful combination of different styles is a boat with a great atmosphere, \u201ca mixture between the contemporary world and tradition, intended for long periods on board in great comfort as a result of the graceful and silent way this type of displacement boat plows the waves. We carried out the project thanks to the great shipyard ability, in close cooperation with the Sanlorenzo shipyard, we\u2019have been working with very well since 2005\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sanlorenzo SD 122 revives the seductive elements of yesteryear, clearly evoking the early twentieth century with its exterior, which, however, seeks a dynamic relationship with the present so as to obtain a yacht that meets the needs of the twenty-first century and the owner\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together with the attractive lines of the exteriors, the interiors are very elegant: thanks to the warm tones of the Tanganyika walnut and the wooden flooring consisting of large planks. The staircases \u2014 both those leading from the main deck to the upper deck and the two internal ones amidships \u2014 constitute an important and original decorative element. A particularly innovative aspect of this boat is the layout of the upper deck, where  you have a view from the helm station through the sky lounge to the sea thanks to the central axis created from bows to stern.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":944,"parent":0,"template":"","tipologia":[10,9,8],"class_list":["post-1534","imbarcazioni","type-imbarcazioni","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tipologia-awd","tipologia-esterni","tipologia-interni"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\nSD 122 -
