When Vertige was designed, it was so special Binta d\u2019Or owner liked the whole exterior design. He liked the contemporary exterior design we had created, the bow shape no previous Tankoa yachts had featured before, the outdoor spaces which opened up the view from inside to the water. He liked the two foldout balconies after on the main deck which added extra square meters of floor space to the outdoor living as well as the one forward which is exclusively for owner\u2019s suite private use and finally the huge upper deck which provides also large social spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Binta d\u2019Or is the result of a perfect team work between the boatyard, the owner and our studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The owner liked and shared our proposals we presented after a couple of meetings with him. We started from that and worked together to meet his personal requests. The owner liked to be involved in the whole process, he liked to see her developing step by step so much. She looks like exactly as the sketches on the blank sheet. The layout of course is different. There is just one owner apartment which Is located forward on the main deck, while the two Vips and the two guests cabins are on the lower deck. The wide galley is located on the main deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We focused on colours and the finishing of materials we used \u2013 brushed sandblasted oak, marble, glass, hard leather and fabrics. The combination of different colours is an important part of the design on board. Colours range from bright hues to darker, creating a balanced sequence which starts from ivory for the ceilings, sand for the sofas, dove-grey for the leather of stair steps in the lobby, light bronze for the sofa bases, green mud for the top of the TV furniture on the main deck, honey for the Botticino marble in the bathrooms, golden bronze for the glass top of the bedside tables, smoke for the mirror glass of the shower doors, glossy gray for the Persian gray marble used for the shower walls, up to dark gray for the leather pouf in the living of the main deck and the base of the coffee tables on the upper deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Glossy lacquered panels of some portions of the walls combine with leather panels and enhance brightness inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Famous Italian brands such as Minotti for sofas, chairs and armchairs, or Giorgetti for the round-shaped armchair in the owner suite, combine with custom-made \u2013 by our studio \u2013 furniture such as the dining table, the pouf under the vanity in the owner bathroom, the owner desk, the bed base, the low furniture on both sides of the entrance on the main deck, the furniture which separates living and dining area, the furniture under the TV screen on the upper deck. The curvy shape of the low furniture add a unique touch to the interior design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The owner was very clear about the result he liked to have but he let the whole process to us and waited for our proposals. He liked a modern and sober style with just some distinguished features and she had to feature a welcoming atmosphere. We like so much when owners are so interested in the design, it helps to create different proposals to get every time closer to the final result. He loves boats and design.
